2023

An ARA-managed private fund divested Golden Digital, also known as Golden Centre, a retail property located at 94 Yen Chow Street in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

Golden Digital comprises retail space across basement, ground and first floors.

An ARA-Kenedix fund acquired Iron Mountain Centre II, a warehouse facility located at 26 Chin Bee Drive in Jurong West, Singapore, from Iron Mountain.

The transaction was structured with a leaseback arrangement to Iron Mountain.

Aravest and SMBC Group established Asia-Pacific Sustainable & Decarbonisation Infrastructure Equity, LP, an investment fund focused on sustainable infrastructure and decarbonisation opportunities across Asia Pacific.

The fund is managed by Aravest.

2022

An ARA-managed fund and Chelsfield completed the repositioning of Lazada One, an office building located at 51 Bras Basah Road in Singapore.

The property was formerly known as Manulife Centre and was subsequently renamed Lazada One.

Lazada One received BCA Green Mark Platinum certification following the repositioning.

An ARA-managed fund completed a recapitalisation of its 50% interest in Capital Square, an office property located in Singapore's central business district.

Capital Square is located at 21, 23 and 25 Church Street and comprises 16 office floors and three floors of shophouse space.

ARA undertook asset management work for the property following the recapitalisation.

2021

An ARA-managed fund acquired Marble Arch Place, a mixed-use commercial asset in London.

The acquisition was completed from Almacantar via two new private real estate funds managed by ARA Korea REF Limited.

Marble Arch Place is located in London's West End.

ARA Private Funds completed the divestment of 61 Robinson, a 20-storey office building located at 61 Robinson Road in Singapore, to Rivulets Investments.

The property was previously known as Robinson Centre and was acquired by an ARA-managed fund in 2019.

The property was subsequently repositioned as 61 Robinson.

ARA announced an equity financing round in May 2021.

SMBC Group joined ARA as a strategic shareholder and lead investor in the financing round.

The investment introduced SMBC Group as a strategic shareholder of ARA.

2020

ARA acquired Parc.1 Tower II, also known as Parc.1 NH Finance Tower, in Seoul through a private real estate fund.

The seller was Y22 Project Financing Investment. NH Investment & Securities participated in the investment.

Parc.1 Tower II is located in Yeouido, Seoul's financial district.

ARA and QuadReal Property Group acquired 200 Victoria Parade in Melbourne through their Australian office and logistics joint venture.

The project, also known as Victoria Place, was the first investment by the joint venture.

The asset is located in East Melbourne.

2019

A private real estate fund managed by ARA acquired Robinson Centre, a 20-storey office building located at 61 Robinson Road in Singapore.

The acquisition was undertaken by way of a share purchase transaction.

The property was subsequently repositioned and renamed 61 Robinson.

ARA listed ARA US Hospitality Trust on the Singapore Exchange in May 2019.

ARA US Hospitality Trust was structured as a stapled group comprising ARA US Hospitality Property Trust and ARA US Hospitality Management Trust.

Its initial portfolio comprised 38 upscale select-service hotels across 21 states in the United States, comprising 27 Hyatt Place hotels and 11 Hyatt House hotels.

ARA entered into an agreement to acquire Seoul Square through a new private real estate fund in Korea managed by ARA Korea REF Limited.

The vendor was reported as KR1 CR-REIT.

Seoul Square is located directly opposite Seoul Station and is one of the largest office buildings in Seoul's central business district.

An ARA-managed private fund completed the divestment of a six-floor strata office portfolio at Suntec City in Singapore to a fund managed by Alpha Investment Partners.

The portfolio comprised five strata office floors in Suntec Tower One and one strata office floor in Suntec Tower Two.

Suntec Tower One and Suntec Tower Two form part of the Suntec City integrated commercial development in Singapore.

An ARA-managed fund and Chelsfield acquired Manulife Centre at 51 Bras Basah Road in Singapore through a 50:50 joint venture.

The vendors were City Developments Limited and Alpha Asia Macro Trends Fund II, a fund managed by Alpha Investment Partners.

2018

ARA completed the acquisition of a portfolio of 38 select-service hotels in the United States.

The portfolio comprised hotels branded as Hyatt Place and Hyatt House across 21 states.

Following the acquisition, ARA stated that it would look at injecting the portfolio into its REIT and private fund platforms.

Suntec REIT, together with Peninsula Investment Partners, L.P., an ARA-managed private real estate fund, completed the acquisition of the remaining 50% interest in Southgate Complex in Melbourne.

The joint venture had acquired a 50% interest in Southgate Complex in 2016. Following completion of the remaining 50% interest in May 2018, Southgate Trust held 100% of Southgate Complex.

Southgate Complex is a mixed-use asset located along Melbourne's Southbank precinct, comprising office and retail components.

2016

An ARA-managed private fund acquired five strata office floors at Suntec Tower One from BASF South East Asia.

The acquisition comprised levels 24, 25, 34, 35 and 36 of Suntec Tower One.

Suntec Tower One forms part of the Suntec City integrated commercial development in Singapore.

An ARA-managed fund acquired a 50% interest in Capital Square, an office property located in Singapore's central business district, from Alpha Investment Partners.

Capital Square is located at Church Street, near Raffles Place.

The property comprises an office tower and shophouse space.

Suntec REIT, together with Peninsula Investment Partners, L.P., an ARA-managed private real estate fund, formed a joint venture to acquire a 50% interest in Southgate Complex in Melbourne from Dexus.

Southgate Complex is a mixed-use asset located along Melbourne's Southbank precinct.

The property comprises office and retail components.

2015

ARA Korea established its third privately held REIT in South Korea in partnership with ShinYoung Co., Ltd.

The REIT, ARA ShinYoung Residential Development Real Estate Investment Company, was established with a mandate to invest in residential assets in South Korea.

In October 2015, the REIT completed its first investment in a residential development project in Seoul.

ARA expanded its private real estate funds platform in 2015 through the establishment of Peninsula Investment Partners, ARA Harmony III and ARA Harmony V.

The funds formed part of ARA's private real estate funds platform across Asia Pacific.

Peninsula Investment Partners, ARA Harmony III and ARA Harmony V were established as private real estate funds managed by ARA.

2014

Morningside Investment Partners, an ARA-managed private real estate fund, acquired Golden Digital in Hong Kong.

Golden Digital, also known as Golden Centre, is a retail property located at 94 Yen Chow Street in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

The asset was identified as one of Morningside Investment Partners' investments in Hong Kong.

ARA completed the acquisition of Macquarie Real Estate Korea Limited in April 2014.

Following completion, Macquarie Real Estate Korea Limited was renamed ARA Korea Limited.

The acquisition provided ARA with an established real estate management platform in South Korea.
